SUPPORT MISSISSIPPI BOYCHOIR!
The vision of Mississippi Boychoir is to make a positive long-term difference in the lives of its members by developing their musical talents as well as providing training in leadership, responsibility, teamwork, self-discipline, and social skills. Each fall boys aged 6-18 from area public and private elementary schools are auditioned for membership in the Choir. Each choirboy is placed according to training experience and musical ability. Some spend their first year of musical and vocal study in the Training Choir before being tested and advanced to the Concert Choir. Most boys moving to the prestigious Concert Choir are afforded the greatest diversity of performance opportunities and musical experiences.
Support of Mississippi’s Boychoir comes through public, private, corporate and foundation funding, as well as ticket revenue and a tuition fees. As we begin our seventeenth year, we continue to provide programs of artistic excellence and musical education for the residents and young men of Mississippi.
