Founded in 1995
Membership age range: 6 through 18
Weekly rehearsals held in Jackson and Hattiesburg.
Boys from each rehearsal area (Division) gather to present concerts

Mississippi Boychoir holds these CORE VALUES as guiding principles:

1. Singing is basic to communication and enriches Mississippi's community life.
2. Excellence in performance creates self esteem and provides training for leadership.
3. Respect for others is essential for a successful community.
4. Early training in choir helps boys as adults to participate in the cultural life of their communities.

Belief in the Values has created this Mission of the Mississippi Boychoir:

1. To identify boys with a natural talent for singing, regardless of economic
   status, ethnicity, race or previous vocal training.
2. To provide boys with excellent training in musicianship.
3. To require boys to accept responsibility, develop self-discipline, to have
   respect for others.
4. To provide a variety of venues to showcase the boys' talents and to broaden
   their horizons.
5. To represent Mississippi inside as well as outside the state.
